The shelter is open six days a week, and we need help. Can you spare a few hours a week on a regular schedule, to work with the animals? We especially need weekend and afternoon kennel cleaners. Or do you have a professional service or talent you'd like to offer? Or maybe you can help occasionally at fundraisers, or man a booth at events?
These are just a few of the ways you can volunteer.

Second Chance offers first class Cat Boarding to help offset our rescue expenses.
Our goal is to provide the winning combination of watchful supervision, gentle care, and supreme sanitation to maintain your feline with a healthy, clean environment each time they visit. Second Chance Animal Rescue understands cats and is a place where your pet can feel cared for, happy and safe while you are away. Pre-boarding visits are welcome by appointment.
Our boarding fees are $14 per day, 2 cats housed together is $22 per day. $2 discount per day after 30 days. Additional discounts and rates available for more same household cats.
To ensure that our community's pets never go hungry, Second Chance is collecting dry and canned food for cats and dogs. Many seniors and families are struggling in these tough economic times, and too often it's their pets who go without.
Drop off your pet food donation at the shelter Monday through Saturday, noon to 3pm.
Donated pet food will be distributed by the All Saints Episcopal Church Food Pantry in Littleton, NH.
Donate one bag, or take a big step and organize a neighborhood drive, or work with your child's classroom teacher and start collecting.
How do you clean out your closet and help Second Chance at the same time? By donating the shoes you don’t wear anymore to the shelter! “ShoeBox Recycling" pay us by the pound for shoes. They then ship them to third world countries.
Give your unwanted shoes a new life. Drop off unwanted shoes that are still in good condition (must be in pairs; no flip flops, ski boots, or slippers) to the shelter. The kitties can’t wear them, but they sure need them.
Cats that have been strays their entire lives, and cats that cannot live as house pets deserve a second chance too! Free adoptions to the right barn. Call 603-259-3244 for more information.
